I endorse Jeanne Pupke for president of the Unitarian Universalist Association because her actions told me that she already held Letter from the Birmingham Jail as sacred scripture before she came out to publicly say it.
I endorse Rev. Pupke because she shows up in the moments that matter in our lives as individuals and as a denomination. She represented us in Richmond, Virginia alongside the Moral Monday's leader Dr. Wiliam Barber II, and she means what she says about reworking the systems within the Unitarian Universalist association that promote injustice and racism. We need Rev. Pupke at the helm today more than ever.
