I strongly support Jeanne Pupke for President of the UUA. I believe that during this difficult moment at the UUA, Jeanne’s skills are exactly what we need. She has a strong record of success in creating and sustaining intentionally anti-racist and multicultural communities. Even better, she and her congregation have been generous in helping other congregations do the same.
I served with Jeanne on the UUA Board of Trustees, and during that time I was impressed with her leadership and insight on the various issues that came before us. There were also many times when Jeanne’s pastoral presence brought us back to our most closely held values and gave us the strength to do what we needed to as a board. We were a better board because of her presence. I have full confidence that she will be able to lead our Association to more fully live into the vision that we have for the UUA and for our faith.
