Jeanne Pupke is the most qualified candidate to lead our movement today

Blevins.jpgI am endorsing the Rev. Jeanne Pupke, of Richmond, Virginia for UUA President. I have known Rev. Pupke since 2009, when she joined me on the UUA Board of Trustees. We served together on the UUA Finance Committee where Jeanne’s business sense was quickly apparent. Her clarity of purpose and focus impressed me, and I often saw her help the Board to find a clear path forward. Jeanne was willing and able to speak her truth to us, and she helped the Board pause and refocus, as we worked our way through some complex decisions. The Board was in the midst of significant governance changes during our shared tenure, such as downsizing the Board, and moving toward regional structures in the field, and I appreciated her experience, vision and courage.

I have only high regard for all three of our candidates for UUA President, however, because of my personal experience with Jeanne, and her executive level experience in large business organizations, complemented by her deep religious experience, I believe that Rev. Jeanne Pupke is the most qualified candidate to lead our movement today.
