She not only has great compassion for the individual, but can sense the needs of the larger whole

Key_Liz_2.JPGAs a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Beaufort, SC, I would like to endorse the Rev. Jeanne Pupke for President of our Unitarian Universalist Association. As Minister of the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Richmond, VA, she befriended our young church in its beginning and helped us through our struggles in a number of ways. She was our guest speaker on several occasions and mentored our settled minister in her early days as a UU Minister. When our minister left, and we lost a 15-year old member and a founding member within the same time period, Rev. Pupke sent us one of her interns for a week to help us get back on our feet.  She not only has great compassion for the individual, but can sense the needs of the larger whole and come to their aide at just the right time. She was one of the first to go to the aide of the Blacksburg church after Va. Tech’s tragic shootings and the sudden death of the minister in Norfolk, Va. She is an excellent speaker and an experienced business manager. I think she has all the qualities we need at this time to lead us forward in our hopes of helping the world become a more loving place for all.
